The following is a statement made this morning at Paraparaumu Police Station by Hannah Lark and Aroha Piper with their family attending.
“Today is the 13th day that Raymond, or Son as we know him, went missing from Eatwell Ave in Paraparaumu.
The past 13 days have been the worst we have ever faced in our lives, not knowing when, or if, Son is going to come walking through that door and we can pretend this nightmare never began.
To us, Son is a brother, a partner, a son and a loving Dad and we miss him more and more as each day goes by.
Son is a happy go lucky kind of guy, he’d give you the shirt off his back, he’d help you with anything, he had a heart of gold and he wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Son was over the moon when his only son Cayden was born three years ago. Cayden is like his daddy in lots of ways.
We know the Police are working on finding Son as hard as they can, but we are pleading for information from anyone who might know where Son is.
If you think you might have seen him on the days since he went missing about 9 o’clock on Saturday the 15th of May, please could you call the Kāpiti Police.
We have searched high and low, and so have the Police and still we are no closer to finding him.
If you are out walking in parks and reserves around the Kāpiti Coast in the next few days, could you keep a watch for any signs of Son. Could you check any bushes or scrub around your houses for any clues.
We are tired, exhausted and desperate and we need help from the community.
Somebody, somewhere must know where Son is. If you have any information, no matter how important you think it might be, can you just phone the Police, let them be the judge of that information.
If you know something but you are too scared to come forward, the Police will treat the information confidentially and you will be protected.
Our last message is for you, Son.
Son, we love you so much. If you are watching this, we want you home. We love you and we just want you home.
Our son misses you. He wants you home.
Thank you.”
