New Year, New Course, New Adventure....
John Glanville and Kurt Eves from the NZAF in team “Just winging it” at the finish line, Queen Elizabeth Park in last year's Big Bang Adventure Race.
The 2013 Big Bang 6hr Adventure Race is only one month away. To be held on November 2nd, this annual event has a brand new "top secret" course somewhere out there in the Kapiti/Horowhenua region.
The Big Bang Adventure Charitable Trust brings this event together along with invaluable support from Swazi, Otaki Rotary, Horowhenua Land Search and Rescue and Otaki Surf Lifesaving, to name but a few. Entries are coming in from New Zealand wide.
Event director Carrie Yaxley says "this year's course is definitely the most diverse and spectacularly stunning so far, a race not to be missed". Along with the core disciplines of hiking, navigation, tubing and mountain biking, Big Bang adds a couple of detour activities to keep teams on their toes.
With entries closing on 19th October there is only a short time left to enter a team.
