Rotary hand up for Kapiti Arts Centre

Paraparaumu Rotary Club president Marion Patchett presented Kapiti College principal Tony Kane with a cheque for $10,000.

At a recent Paraparaumu Rotary Club meeting president Marion Patchett presented Kapiti College principal Tony Kane with a cheque for $10,000 towards the building of the Kapiti Performing Arts Centre.

This is in addition to $30,000 presented last year being funds generated from the Paraparaumu Art Show Trust. In his acceptance Tony mentioned that they were some 90% of their fund raising goal and the building should be finished by the end of 2018. The complex will be a very valuable community asset as well as for the college. Paraparaumu Rotary will have one of the rooms named in their honour. He also mentioned that individual named seats were still available at a sponsorship fee of $500
